A BRAND NEW all natural, organic and vegan makeup brand has just launched in the UK

This week we welcomed a new brand to our line up – Nui Cosmetics.

I tried a few products from this brand a several months back and since trying them, I just couldn’t help but reach for them every morning. They became a staple in my routine, and I was pretty devastated when my little samples ran out! The textures are beautiful and soft, and the colours modern and long lasting on the skin, something I always look for when seeking out new brands for the website. I just knew that I had to introduce this brand to the UK, I know so many of you will love these products as much as I do.

Founded in Berlin, Nui Cosmetics have formulated 100% natural, all vegan, cruelty free products, with at least 70% of the ingredients being organic. They have chosen ingredients of the highest quality, which you can really feel when using the products, the textures are just beautiful. They don’t use any synthetic fragrances or synthetic dyes, nor do they use any parabens, phthalates (preservatives) or dimethicone (silicone), yet their products perform in exactly the same way as mainstream brands using these ingredients.

Here are a few of the ingredients that Nui Cosmetics use in their products:

  • Aloe Vera – Very good for sensitive skin due to its soothing, cooling and healing properties.
  • Vanilla Planifolia – This is the signature scent of some of the products in the range. As well as providing a sweet, pleasant fragrance, it also smoothes and protects the skin.
  • Lecithin – Sourced from sunflowers, it provides the makeup with its soft texture and soothing feel on the skin.
  • Chamomile Hydrosol – Anti inflammatory, soothing, balancing, toning and amazing for relieving sensitive skin issues such as dryness and irritation.

So without further ado, here are some of the beautiful products available in the Nui Cosmetics range.

Liquid Foundation

A lightweight and nourishing foundation with a soft focused, airbrushed finish. I love, love, love the texture of this foundation, it’s just like smoothing silk onto your skin in liquid form. I find it can be built up in layers easily for extra coverage where its needed and doesn’t start to cake or gather in any dry areas. It’s best applied with fingers (for busy mornings) or with a sponge and ‘dabbed’ on for a fuller coverage and airbrushed finish. The ingredients are 100% natural, vegan, cruelty free and 90% organic.

Suitable for all skin types, it dries to a natural looking finish that looks exactly like skin, not too matte, nor too dewy. It’s perfect for those ‘no makeup, makeup’ days, when you just want to look radiant and healthy.

We are now offerings sample sizes of this foundation so you can find your perfect match! Shop the samples here and the full size here.

Cream Tint for Eyes, Lips and Cheeks

This handy multi-use product can be used to colour the eyes, cheeks or lips. Available in 4 stunning shades, including a warm rose highlighter shade which is perfect for using on the tops of the cheekbones for a healthy glow (Mawhero). A matte rose (Pititi) and warm peach (Karamere), give a natural looking flush of colour to the cheeks, and a beautiful berry shade (Tiakarete) looks stunning on olive and dark skin tones. These are great for throwing in your bag for touch ups, applying on the go or when you’re in a rush (me most mornings!) Just swipe and blend with fingers, easy, peasy.

Natural Lipstick

It’s very rare to find a 100% natural, vegan, cruelty free bright red lipstick without any synthetic colours or carmine being used, but these guys have managed it. Their red shade ‘Aroha‘ (pictured above) is so flattering on all skin tones because it is a very neutral shade, it doesn’t contain too much pink, or too much blue, it is a true classic red. I was amazed at the staying power of these lipsticks too, I applied ‘Aroha‘ in the morning, went out to a meeting, drank coffee, ate lunch and it was still there several hours later. The texture is so lightweight it doesn’t feel like you are wearing any colour at all, yet the colours sure do pack a punch!

They are available in a range of modern, stylish colours, from matte nude ‘Tahnee‘, which is similar to the popular ‘Velvet Teddy’ from MAC Cosmetics, through to a sexy, gothic deep violet ‘Tiare‘.

Brow Sculpt

I do love a well groomed brow, I just feel like it makes such a difference to the face when brows have just a touch of colour through them to fill in any gaps. Most of us are not blessed with perfect brows, so we do need a little help in that department. These brow sculpts are available in 3 shades to suit most eyebrow colours – Kanapa is a sandy shade, perfect for blondes, it also makes a great eye primer for light skin! Reo, is a medium brown, for anyone with dark blonde through to medium brown, and Pouri is a deep brown for dark brunettes to black haired beauties.

These creamy textured brow sculpts are designed to fill in gaps, smooth unruly hairs into place and give an overall polished, yet natural appearance. I use them with a thin angled brush for precision and to emulate brow hairs by drawing little tiny strokes.

Natural Mascara

Last, but certainly not least, is the 100% natural, vegan, volumising, separating and lengthening mascaras, available in black or brown. I love this wand because it gives such amazing separation to the lashes, meaning it is much less likely to clump or flake. Even one coat gives amazing volume and definition, but two or three gives you extra drama and length. The formula is extremely gentle, it contains Chamomile which is great for sensitive eyes as it will cause no irritation, and even coffee powder which darkens the lashes to get that jet black colour. Choose ‘Parauri‘ if you are very fair and find black mascaras too harsh, this brown will appear softer against your skin. ‘Pango‘ is a jet black shade for anyone looking for dramatic, defined and volumised lashes.
