Glamorous Makeup Look using Organic Beauty Products

As much as I love and prefer a natural makeup look that enhances the features and adds just enough makeup to cover imperfections, it’s also so much fun to dabble in a little glamour every now and then! I created this glamorous makeup look on the lovely Carrie who blogs about green beauty products over at whatilovetodayx.com. No matter your age, you can still pull off a bright red lip and smokey eye, if done right!

Products Used

Skincare:

Supermood – Perfect Day Cream – A lightweight, refreshing day cream that is perfect for underneath makeup. It helps to brighten the skin and leaves it feeling moisturised without being heavy.

Couleur Caramel – Makeup Base – This primer is one of our best selling primers due to its illuminating and moisturising properties. With continued use, this primer will help to fade dark spots, pigmentation and reduce dryness in the skin.

Base:

Couleur Caramel – BB Cream in shades 11 and 12 – I wanted to keep the skin looking quite natural for this look because I knew I wanted to go for more of a smokey eye. I chose this BB cream because it feels really lightweight on the skin and doesn’t look like foundation. I mixed together 2 shades to get Carrie’s perfect match and buffed it into the skin.

Couleur Caramel – Dark Circle Concealer in shade 12 – This is a really versatile product that can be used under the eyes as well as on any blemishes. It has quite a full coverage so is good for perfecting the skin to leave it looking flawless.

ZAO Makeup – Compact Powder in shade 302 – I dusted a little of this powder on the t-zone to take down any shine on the forehead, nose and chin. This provides a little extra coverage and will also help stop shine from coming through so is perfect for those that get a little oily throughout the day.

Cheeks:

Living Nature – Summer Bronze Pressed Powder – I didn’t want to add too much colour to Carrie’s cheeks and make the look too ‘overdone’, so I dusted a little bronzer onto her cheeks and forehead just to warm up the complexion slightly.

ZAO Makeup – Light Touch Illuminating Complexion – To add a natural highlight, I added a small amount to the tops of Carrie’s cheekbones. This highlighter contains no shimmer, but is great for a natural looking highlight and to lift the features.

Eyes:

ZAO Makeup – Eye Primer – If you wear eyeshadow, it is an essential step to apply eye primer prior to your eyeshadow. It will help the powders last longer, avoid creasing and also make the colours more vibrant. This eye primer contains natural and organic ingredients and dries to a powder finish.

ZAO Makeup – Pearly Eyeshadow 106 Bronze – I used this colour on the outer corner of the eyelid, pressing it onto the lid with a flat, synthetic concealer brush to get a good amount of pigment onto the eyelid. I then blended away any harsh lines with a blending brush. I also applied this colour to the lower lash line.

Couleur Caramel – Kohl Kajal in Black – This soft kohl kajal is perfect for smudging around the lash line for a quick and easy smokey eye effect. I applied this to the top and bottom waterline, along the top lash line, then smudged it out with an eyeshadow brush.

ZAO Makeup – Shine Up Powder – A little sparkle on the inner corner of the eye is a really subtle and flattering way to make the eyes look wider and more awake. I used this highlighter with a small brush and applied a tiny amount to the inner corners of the eyes.

Brows:

ZAO Makeup – Eyebrow Powder in shade 262 Brown – I used a small amount of powder with an angled brush through Carrie’s brows to fill in any gaps and create a more defined shape.

Lips:

Couleur Caramel – Lip Pencil in shade 107 Red – When wearing a bold colour, I find outlining and filling in the lips with a lip pencil helps the colour to last longer and gives more of a defined and polished finish. This lip pencil glides over the skin easily and feels moisturising on the lips.

Living Nature – Lipstick in shade Wildfire – This is a really lovely colour for brightening the complexion and adding that glamorous finish to the whole look! It feels really moisturising so is perfect for those who suffer with dry lips but want a bold colour without too much gloss.

I hope you like this look. Let me know in the comments if there are any looks you would like to request!
